Periodontal Treatment

Periodontics refers to the structures surrounding the teeth, including the gum tissues and bone. Periodontitis is a disease of these structures and is caused by plaque. If left untreated, periodontitis can lead to tooth loss. That’s why we offer preventative care to protect your gums. When gums are infected, we perform scaling and root planing. This involves deep cleaning beneath the gum line and smoothing out the tooth roots so the gums can firmly reattach themselves, thus sealing out bacteria.

Dental Implants

With dental implants, we can replace any missing teeth with little intrusion. We surgically insert titanium fixtures into the gums, which over the period of a few months will integrate with the jaw bone. This serves as the foundation for the implant restoration, which consists of a crown. Dental implants do not require preparation of neighboring teeth, unlike bridges.

Invisalign®

Invisalign® is a system that straightens teeth using a series of clear plastic aligners. These aligners are removable for eating, drinking, and brushing, and they are virtually invisible. Invisalign® provides an aligned, functional smile without expensive metal braces or other invasive equipment.

Solea Laser Dentistry

Solea is the first CO2 dental laser system cleared by the FDA for hard and soft tissue procedures. Solea replaces the dental drill in the majority of procedures in our practice. It causes virtually no pain, vibration, or noise. In fact, nearly every patient skips anesthesia because they just don’t need it. You are now able to receive the care you need in a fraction of the time — and pain — you were accustomed to from traditional drills.

How does Solea Laser Dentistry work?

The Solea Laser Dentistry system works by producing an intense, narrow beam of light energy. This is used to reshape or remove affected soft tissues and can be used in different parts of the mouth depending on what your oral health needs are. It is primarily be used to treat your gums, enamel, dentin, and bone tissues in your mouth. Because of the focused nature of light energy, this process is quick, precise, and efficient.

What procedures can Solea Laser Dentistry be used for?

Solea Laser Dentistry is often used as an alternative to conventional dental procedures, including removing dental cavities, placing fillings, performing root canal therapy, treating and removing damaged tissues in your mouth.

Zoom!® Teeth Whitening

Over time, your teeth may become discolored from drinking tea, coffee, cola, red wine, or smoking. Aging can also darken and stain your teeth. Zoom! Teeth Whitening creates a dramatically whiter smile in just one hour! This is an in-office treatment during which we apply a hydrogen peroxide bleaching gel to the teeth and activate it with light. When the procedure is complete, you will see immediate results.

How does Zoom!® Teeth Whitening work?

One of the many benefits of this whitening system is how quickly and efficiently it helps create a brighter, whiter smile for you! The process starts with a short preparation of your lips and gums, leaving your teeth exposed. From there, we will apply the Zoom hydrogen peroxide whitening gel, which works in conjunction with the Zoom Advanced Power Chairside Lamp to break up stains and discoloration by penetrating the teeth. The gel is applied for three 15-minute sessions of light activation, totaling 45 minutes. After the last session, a sensitivity-reducing fluoride paste-gel is applied to your teeth.

How do I care for my teeth after Zoom!® Whitening?

After your procedure, you will receive a home touch-up kit that includes custom-fitted whitening trays. We will provide you with instructions on how and when to use this kit. Avoiding certain foods and beverages (or consuming them in moderation) can help you avoid staining your teeth. This includes coffee, red wine, cola, tea, and more. Additionally, using tobacco products will stain your teeth.
An important part of keeping your smile healthy and bright is maintaining good at-home oral hygiene habits. Brushing and flossing can help prevent stains from reforming, and using toothpaste with whitening agents may be recommended. Regular visits to the dentist for teeth cleanings are also essential!
Toothpaste containing whitening agents also may be suggested by your dentist to maintain the results of the procedure.

CEREC Same-Day Crowns

CEREC® is a technology that allows us to create ceramic crowns in just one visit, using CAD/CAM technology. Traditionally, crowns require three visits to create impressions, fabricate, and place. Now, with this state-of-the-art technology, you can achieve a more beautiful smile in just one visit.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin shells that are bonded onto the front of natural teeth. They can be used to disguise stains, chips and gaps, and can also create a more aligned smile.
